1 Feb 1943 – 4(F)./122 now located at Bagerovo, near Kerch, Crimea.[1]

7 Feb 1943 - Oblt. Ferdinand Ottisch + 2 KIA and 3 WIA during heavy Allied air raid on Fp.Elmas – 1(F)./122 reduced to only 3 serviceable Ju 88s.[3] Generalfeldmarschall Hugo Sperrle, leader of Luftflotte 3, inspected Schiphol.[4]

8 Feb 1943 – 1(F)./122 was transferred from Elmas to Decimo/Sardinia due to the constant Allied air attacks on Elmas.[5]

11 Feb 1943 - Hptm. Edwin Kerner, of 4(F)./122, was killed during a Soviet air attack on Fp. Bagerovo.

14 Feb 1943 – 1(F)./122 despatched sorties to the Algerian Coast.

(RAF Sgt Coran Perry Ashworth 253 Sqn claimed 1xJu88, 20 miles N. Cap Bougaroun. He was flying Hurricane IIc (HV742). This claim corresponds to Ju88D-1/Trop (F6+EH) of 1(F)/122.) [10]

25 Feb 1943 – 4(F)./122 photographed the airfield at Alder (Alderskiy) (targer Code SU 10 3735; 43.46 N 39.55 E, Pl Qu. 34 Ost 94634).Analysis showed 4 single engined, 48 twin engined and 1 three engined aircraft present.[16]

26 Feb 1943 – 4(F)./122 photographed the railway and bridges in the area around Chossta (Pl.Qu 34 Ost 94493, target code SU97 17034) on the Black Sea.[17]
