Nov 1940 – Feb 1941: 1(F)./122 carried out a reduced level of operations due to poor weather, bad airfield conditions and personnel granted Christmas leave. [1]

Nov 1940 - During the month 5(F)./122 transferred from Haute-Fontaine (Attichy) to Beauvais-Tille and remained there until June 1941, although some operational sorties were staged through other airfields along the French coast or from Jersey in the Channel Islands.[2]

02 Nov 1940 – 5(F)./122 operated a late afternoon recce sortie over the Channel and then the Thames Estuary.[3]

7 Nov 1940 – 5(F)./122 operated a midday Channel recce flight. It departed Haute Fontaine at 12.15 hrs and returned at 14.24 hrs.[4]

8 Nov 1940 – 5(F)./122 reported a Ju 88 that returned damaged from a sortie to the UK (Isle of Wight).

10 Nov 1940 – A Ju 88 of 5(F)./122 (F6+VN) operated a late afternoon Channel recce flight. It departed Haute Fontaine at 15.35 hrs and returned to Abbeville at 17.20 hrs.[5]

11 Nov 1940 – The Ju 88 F6+VN of 5(F)./122 operated a morning Channel recce flight from Abbeville. It departed 08.30 hrs and landed back at Haute Fontaine at 10.21 hrs.[6]

14 Nov 1940 – A storm caused damage to Stab./122 aircraft at Lille-Nord, in NE France – aircraft recorded as damaged were a Fw 44 and a Fi 156.

15 Nov 1940 – F6+TN of 5(F)./122 flew a Channel recce flight departing Haute Fontaine at 11.40 hrs and returning at 14.45 hrs.[7]

17-18 Nov 1940 – 3(F)./122 sent a Ju 88 on a sortie up the East Coast of England.

24 Nov 1940 – 4(F)./122 sent a Ju 88 sortie to the vicinity of Middlesborough, the crew Lt Bruno Pietgen, Feldw.walther Bauerle, Uffz Werner Pinn and Gefr. Walter Schenk returned to Brussels unwounded, despite being attacked by RAF aircraft.70
