Formation and History. (Sep 43 - Apr 45)
Formed 15 October 1943 at Döberitz near Berlin by renaming 4. Jagddivision. Responsible for fighter defences in central Germany and the Berlin area under I. Jagdkorps, and then from 17 February 1945 under IX. Fliegerkorps (J). The Division subordinated Ln.-Regiment 201, 211, 221 and 231, these providing radar coverage and other communications within its territory. The Stab moved to Ribbeck/45 km WNW of Berlin in February 1945 and then disbanded two months later in late April.[1]
