Formation. (Jan 43)

Formed January 1943 at Paris - St-Cloud (ex-Stab/Höherer Flieger-Ausbildungskommando 77). Responsible for all Luftwaffe basic training carried out in the West (mainly France and Belgium) by the Luftwaffe basic training regiments (Fliegerregimenter) located there and Fluganwärterbataillon II, III, IV, V, VI? and VII. Subordinated to Lw.-Befh. Mitte (to Dec 43).[1]


West. (Jan 43 - Nov 43)

Jan – Feb 43: Stab at Paris - St-Cloud.[2]

Mar and Jun 43: Stab reportedly now at Reims, but this was either a branch of the Stab or possibly a temporary move.[3]

26 Nov 43: Paris – St-Cloud - Stab ordered re-designated 1. Flieger-Ausbildungsdivision, with effect from o/a 1 January 1944.[4]
