Formation. (Jan 42)
Formed o/a 15 January 1942 at Seshchinskaya on the central sector of the Russian Front by renaming and expanding Stab/Nahkampfführer Nord, which came under VIII. Fliegerkorps.[1]
Central Russia. (Jan 42 - Jul 42)
Jan – Apr 42: transferred to Fp. Vyazma-Dugino/NE of Smolensk and supported the heavy defensive fighting in that area and the eventual stabilization of the front there.
1 Apr 42: under Luftwaffenkdo. Ost effective this date.
5 May 42: Stab at Vyazma-Dugino airfield with its quartermaster (Qu.) section in the town of Vyazma - total strength of Stab: 25 officers and 250 men.[2]
23 Jun 42: Stab at Vyazma-Dugino - commanded all Luftwaffe close support operations along the front in the Rzhev - Vyazma sector (Pz.AOK 3 and AOK 9).[3]
Jul 42: Stab ordered to hand over all responsibilities to 1. Fliegerdivision and transfer to France.[4]
West and South France. (Aug 42 - Sep 44)
Aug 42: Stab now at Bordeaux under Luftflotte 3.[5]
15 Nov 42: Stab transferred from Bordeaux to Montfrin/South France near Avignon immediately following the Allied landings in Morocco and Algeria and the takeover of the unoccupied portion of France by the Germans. On arrival, commanded operations in the western Mediterranean under both Luftflotte 2 and Luftflotte 3, mainly to seek out, attack and destroy Allied convoys moving east along the Algerian coast.[6]
1 Jul 43: Stab still at Montfrin.[7]
Sep 43: Stab directed attacks on the Allied landing at Salerno/Italy.[8]
Feb 44: Montfrin - subordinated 1.(F)/Aufkl.Gr. 33; Stab, I. and III./KG 26; I. and II./KG 30; Stab and II./KG 100; Ln.-Abt. 72.[9]
19 Aug 44: Stab withdrew from Montfrin to Lyons following the Allied invasion of South France on 15 August.[10]
21 Aug 44: Stab/2. Fliegerdivision and Ln.-Abt. 72 to depart France for Kaufbeuren.[11]
6 Sep 44: continuing the withdraw from France, Stab reached Giebelstadt near Würzburg by this date where it was ordered disbanded and the majority of its personnel reassigned to Stab/Kommandierender General der deutschen Luftwaffe in Italien.[12]

Exact date of formation not established, but probably in spring 1942.[13]
3 Jul 42: Fi 156 crash landed at Fp. Dugino, 100%.
25 Nov 42: Fw 58 damaged at Fp. Nîmes-Courbessac due to technical problems, 10%.
2 Mar 43: Caudron C 445 ran out of fuel and crashed at Perigueux, 100%, crew safe.
18 May 43: Do 215 B-2 force landed at Fp. Mondesir due to engine failure, 75%, 3 injured.
29 May 43: C 445 ran out of fuel and force landed at Angoulême, 80%, 2 injured.
13 Jul 43: C 445 struck the ground at Fp. Nîmes, 80%, 2 injured.
