Formation. (Dec 44)
Formed 19 December 1944 at Trondheim/Norway (ex-Stab/Fliegerführer 5). Responsible for providing air support to ground forces in North Norway under Kommandierender General der deutschen Luftwaffe in Norwegen.[1]
North Norway. (Dec 44 - May 45)
25 Jan 45: Stab now at Heggelia camp, a 14-building complex adjacent to Bardufoss airfield - generally subordinated reconnaissance units based at Bodø, Sørreisa, Tromsø and Bardufoss (1.(F)/124, Stab and 3.(F)/130, 1./32, etc.), since there was little or no ground fighting in North Norway to the end of the war.[2]
21 Mar 45: same as for 25 Jan 45.[3]
8-10 May 45: Stab capitulated at Moen and Målselv/N Norway with assigned units distributed as for 25 Jan 45, above.[4]
