Formation and History. (Jun 43 - Sep 43)
Formed in June 1943 at Munich-Schleissheim (ex-Stab/Jagdfliegerführer Süddeutschland) for the tactical control of day and night fighter operations over southern Germany under XII. Fliegerkorps. Although the formation of this Division certainly dates from June 1943, its official and formal date of formation may not have occurred until 30 July 1943. Renamed Stab/7. Jagddivision on 15 September 1943 at Munich-Schleissheim with effect from 15 October 1943.[1]
