Formation and Training. (c.Feb 41 - May 41)

Formed or ordered formed in February 1941 at Bygdoszcz (Bromberg)/NW Poland using assets taken from 7.(H)/32, which was formed at approximately the same time. The Staffel was equipped with Henschel Hs l26s.[1]

North Russia. (Jun 41 - Jan 42)

22.6.41: Tilsit area/East Prussia under Koluft Panzergruppe 4/Army Group North for the attack on the Soviet Union this date - assigned to support LVI. Armeekorps (mot) along a line of advance from the Tilsit area - across Lithuania - Daugavpils (Dünaburg)/Latvia (26 June) - Ostrov-Pskov area (14 July) - the Luga Line at Novgorod on Lake Ilmen (15-16 July) - Lovat River area south of Staraya Russa on Lake Ilmen (August-September).

26.6.41: Hs 126 (4M or M4+ES) operating from Fp. Kedainiai/C Lithuania failed to return from a recce mission over the Daugavpils area, 100%, Staka Oblt. Meyer + 1 KIA.

14.7.41: Hs 126 (M4+ES) FTR from a recce flight over the Novgorod area at the north end of Lake Ilmen, 100%, 2 MIA.

1.8.41: Hs 126 B-1 damaged taxiing at Feldflugplatz (fieldstrip) Novoselye in the Lake Ilmen area, 10%.

23.8.41: Hs 126 B-1 damaged taxiing at Ffp. Kalinitsa (Kalennitsa/29 km NW of Staraya Russa?), 10%.

8.10.41: Hs 126 B-1 damaged taxiing at Ffp. Shumarevo, 10%.

10.41: Staffel dissolved in October or November 1941 and then formally disbanded around January 1942.
