Nov 1940 – Feb 1941: 1(F)./122 carried out a reduced level of operations due to poor weather, bad airfield conditions and personnel granted Christmas leave. [1]
Nov 1940 - During the month 5(F)./122 transferred from Haute-Fontaine (Attichy) to Beauvais-Tille and remained there until June 1941, although some operational sorties were staged through other airfields along the French coast or from Jersey in the Channel Islands.[2]
02 Nov 1940 – 5(F)./122 operated a late afternoon recce sortie over the Channel and then the Thames Estuary.[3]
5 Nov 1940 - 3.(F)/122 reported to IX. Fliegerkorps that He 111H-3 WNr 3315 had been handed over to Kampfgruppe 2 (?) in Quedlingburg.[4]
6 Nov 1940 - 3.(F)/122 reported to IX. Fliegerkorps that it had one He 111H-2 and 12 Ju 88. Ten of the aircraft were ready as were ten crews. Two Ju 88s were at Rheims for the lengthening of their wings. One He 111H-2 had been detached to IX. Fliergerkorps.[5]
7 Nov 1940 – 5(F)./122 operated a midday Channel recce flight. It departed Haute Fontaine at 12.15 hrs and returned at 14.24 hrs.[6]
8 Nov 1940 – 5(F)./122 reported a Ju 88 that returned damaged from a sortie to the UK (Isle of Wight).
9 Nov 1940 - 3.(F)/122 reported to IX. Fliegerkorps that it had one He 111H-2 and 12 Ju 88. Eight aircraft were ready with ten crews ready. Two Ju 88s were at Rheims for the lengthening of their wings. One He 111H-2 detached to IX. Fliegerkorps. One Go 145 had been handed over to Feldluftpark Soesterberg on the previous day.[7]
10 Nov 1940 – A Ju 88 of 5(F)./122 (F6+VN) operated a late afternoon Channel recce flight. It departed Haute Fontaine at 15.35 hrs and returned to Abbeville at 17.20 hrs.[8]
11 Nov 1940 – The Ju 88 F6+VN of 5(F)./122 operated a morning Channel recce flight from Abbeville. It departed 08.30 hrs and landed back at Haute Fontaine at 10.21 hrs.[9]
14 Nov 1940 – A storm caused damage to Stab./122 aircraft at Lille-Nord, in NE France – aircraft recorded as damaged were a Fw 44 and a Fi 156.
15 Nov 1940 – F6+TN of 5(F)./122 flew a Channel recce flight departing Haute Fontaine at 11.40 hrs and returning at 14.45 hrs.[10]
17 Nov 1940 - 3.(F)/122 advised IX. Fliegerkorps that it had one He 111H-2 and 12 Ju 88. Nine aircraft were ready, there were nine crews of which seven were available. Two Ju 88s were at Rheims for the lengthening of their wings. One Ju 88 had been damaged by bombs. One Ju 88 was at Stade for compensation (?).[11]
17-18 Nov 1940 – 3(F)./122 sent a Ju 88 on a sortie up the East Coast of England.

18 Nov 1940 - 3.(F)/122 reported to IX. Fliegerkorps that it had one He 111H-2 and 11 Ju 88s. Seven aircraft were available, there were eight crews of which six were ready. Two Ju 88s were still at Rheims for the lengthening of their wings. One Ju 88 damaged by bombs (see 17 Nov 1940). One Ju 88 had failed to return from a flight over enemy territory (see above).[13]
19 Nov 1940 - 3.(F)/122 reported to IX. Fliegerkorps that it had one He 111H-2 and 11 Ju 88s. Three aircraft were ready and of nine crews only three were available. Two Ju 88s were still at Rheims for the lengthening of their wings. Four aircraft and crews were at Fassberg to carry out twilight flights and night landings.[14]
21 Nov 1940 – 4(F)./122 sent a Ju 88A-5 on a recce sortie to Birmingham.
3.(F)/122 reported to IX. Fliegerkorps that it had one He 111H-2 and 11 Ju 88s. Seven aircraft were available, there were nine crews on strength of which six were ready. Two Ju 88s were at Rheims for the lengthening of their wings. The bomb damaged Ju 88. There was one crew detached to Doberitz.[15]

24 Nov 1940 – 4(F)./122 sent a Ju 88 sortie to the vicinity of Middlesborough, the crew Lt Bruno Pietgen, Feldw.walther Bauerle, Uffz Werner Pinn and Gefr. Walter Schenk returned to Brussels unwounded, despite being attacked by RAF aircraft.70

30 Nov 1940 - 3.(F)/122 reported to IX. Fliegerkorps it had one He 111H-2 and ten Ju 88. Five aircraft ready, six crews, all ready. 11.5 hours flown. Two Ju 88s at Rheims for the lengthening of their wings. One Ju 88 was at Münster "zur Getriebekontrolle".[17]
