Beutepark

A salvage yard for captured aviation hardware.

They dispatched salvage sections and teams with trucks to pick up captured aircraft parts and scrap assembled at collection airfields throughout their area of responsibility.

At the Beutepark, the salvaged equipment was sorted and separated into that which could be repaired, overhauled and re-used, and that which was declared scrap and then sent to a smelter.

A typical Beutepark had a relatively small German staff and employed a thousand or more foreign workers.
