Feb 1940 - Formed by renaming Fl.H.Kdtr. E Stömede.
Jun 1940 - Transferred to France after it was occupied by German forces.
16 Jul 1940 - located at Rocquancourt/10 km S of Caen under Koflug 8/VII (Flers).
27 Sep 1940 - on standby under Luftgaustab z.b.V. 16 for the planned invasion of England (Operation “Seelöwe”).
Feb – Mar 1941 - departed France for Bulgaria as part of the buildup in the Balkans and in preparation for the eventual attack on Yugoslavia and Greece.
6 Apr 1941 - Balkan campaign via Belgrade attached to VIII. Fliegerkorps.
1 May 1941 - Fl.H.Kdtr. E (mot) 6/VI at Fp. Athens-Tatoi directly under VIII. Fliegerkorps. In late May or early June transferred to the Sudauen (Suwa³ki) area in NE Poland for the attack on the Soviet Union on 22 June.
25 Jun 1941 - reported losses at Merkine/SW Lithuania.
20 Feb 1942 - at Fp. Vyazma/150 km ENE of Smolensk directly under VIII. Fliegerkorps.
6 Mar 1942 - 2 men reported WIA at Vyazma.
31 May 1942 - in march to the Kursk area along with other ground elements of VIII. Fliegerkorps.
Jun – Jul 1942 - advanced from the Kursk area toward the Don and then south toward Stalingrad.
31 Aug 1942 - 1 man reported WIA during Russian air attack on Fp. Oblivskaya.
Dec 1942 - 5 reported WIA by enemy small arms fire at Fp. Oblivskaya.
4 Jan 1943 - 1 reported MIA at Fp. Morosovskaya.
Jan 1943 - identified at Sarabus/Crimea (possibly regrouping and refitting).
25 Apr 1943 - 1 reported WIA by artillery fire at Fp. Belgorod/70 km NNE of Kharkov.
18 Jun 1943 - at Fp. Belgorod under Koflug 3/VII (Kharkov).
5 Jul 1943 - Fp. Belgorod for the attack on the Kursk salient (Operation “Zitadelle”).
9 Aug 1943 - withdrawing and now at Skorokhodovo/18 km SE of Roslavl.
Mar 1944 - 1 man reported MIA at Vinnitsa/W Ukraine.
Mar 1944 - at Fp. Molodechno/68 km NW of Minsk?
17 Dec 1944 - at Fp. Beneschau (Benešov)/58 km WNW of Ostrava in Upper Silesia (today part of NE Czechoslovakia).
3 Mar 1945 - Fl.H.Kdtr. E (mot) 6/VI in transfer from Beneschau to Reichenberg (Liberec)/89 km NNE of Prague.
