Formed o/a 15 June 1944 (ex-Fliegerführer XI. Fliegerkorps) according to the Field Postal Directory (FpÜ), but 1 March 1944 appears to be more logical. This is believed to have been a standby Stab ready to assemble and command transport and glider units needed to deploy airborne forces if the requirement arose. The Stab was disbanded in September 1944 following the German retreat from France and Belgium (the FpN was deleted on 19 October 1944).
