Formation and History. (Mar 41 - Apr 41)

Formed at the end of March 1941 at Graz/Austria to command fighter and ground support operations under Luftflotte 4 for AOK 2’s (2d Army) forthcoming attack into northern Yugoslavia, which began on 6 April 1941. The personnel and other assets for the Stab were provided by Geschwaderstab/St.G. 3. This provisional command did not last more than two weeks, and was dissolved by mid-April 1941.[1]
