Formed o/a 6 March 1943, probably at Malemes or Iraklion/Crete, to take command of air operations over and around the island following the return of Gen.Kdo. X. Fliegerkorps from Crete to Athens. Stab/Fliegerführer Kreta was disbanded at Iraklion on or about 1 January 1944.[1]
