Gefechtsverband Dugino


Formed in December 1941 at the height of the crisis brought about by the Soviet counterattack west of Moscow and named for Dugino airfield located to the northeast of Smolensk. The Gefechtsverband is known to have consisted of at least Stab, II. and III./JG 51, III./St.G. 2 and II./Lehrgeschwader 2. With a frequently changing composition, it existed until the beginning of May 1942 before it was dissolved. The commander of the Gefechtsverband has not been determined.[1]
