Formation and History. (Aug 41 - Sep 43)

Formed 1 August 1941 at Zeist near Utrecht/Holland by renaming and expanding Stab/l. Nachtjagdivision. Under Lw.-Befehlshaber Mitte. Commanded all fighter divisions in the West. Stab remained at Zeist throughout its existence. An Ausweichsgefechtsstand (alternate command post) also existed and had a separate Feldpost number (L 20524). On 15 September 1943 it was renamed Gen.Kdo. Jagdkorps I.

Formation, History and Losses. (Aug 41? - Sep 43)

Exact date of formation and disbandment unknown. Designated in official documents as a Stabsschwarm or Stabskette until fall 1942 and then as a Flugbereitschaft.

17 Oct 41: Bf 110D damaged its undercarriage at Fp. Soesterberg/Holland, 15%.

23 Feb 42: Fp. Soesterberg - reported 3 x Bf 109E, 3 x Bf 110D, 1 x Fw 58C, 1 x Fi 156C, 1 x Bü 131D, 1 x Ar 66C and 1 x Kl 32C on strength.

11 Mar 42: Bf 108 damaged its undercarriage while landing at Fp. Soesterberg, 10%.

31 Jul 42: Fi 156 damaged its undercarriage at Fp. Deelen/Holland, 10%.

7 Nov 42: Do 215 damaged taxiing at Fp. Soesterberg, 25%.

16 Feb 43: Fp. Soesterberg - reported 1 x Do 215B, 1 x Ju 88 A-1, 2 x Bf 109B, 1 x Fi 156 C-2, 1 x Fi 156 C-3 and 1 x Ar 66C on strength.

27 Feb 43: Bf 110 E-2 crashed near Stromboli off the Italian coast, 100%, 1 missing.

6 May 43: Ju 88 A-5 belly landed at Fp. Soesterberg due to engine failure, 40%.

8 Sep 43: Ar 66 force landed at Lettebruch/Germany due to engine fire, 20%.
