Mar 40: reassigned under Chef des Ausbildungswesens around this date.
14 Apr 42: merged with General d.Lw. beim Ob.d.H. approximately this date and renamed General der Aufklärungsflieger und General der Luftwaffe beim OKH (L.In. l) and reassigned under the Generalstab d.Lw.
Feb 44: designation shortened to General der Aufklärungsflieger.
29 Aug 44: set up a Inspizient See (Inspector of Seaplanes) for all Seeaufklärungsstaffeln, the responsibility for which was previously handled by the Gen.d.Lw. beim Ob.d.M.
Nov 44: the Stab had 23 officers and 32 others assigned - responsible for all Aufklärungs- (recce), Westa- (weather recce) and Seeaufklärungs- (maritime recce) units together with their schools and replacement units.
12/44: Stab stationed at Jüterbog.
24.2.45: Stab transferred to Würzburg.

13 Nov 43: a Fi 156 assigned to this Stab crash landed at Werneuchen, 35%.[2]
25 Nov 43: a Bf 109F-2 had a landing accident at Fp.Bretigny in France, 50%.
3 Feb 44: a Fi 156C-3 belonging to the Umrüstungskdo. Gen.d.Aufkl.Fl. (Conversion Detachment) force landed at Erlangen, 20%.
