Formation and History. (Oct 40 - Sep 44)

Formed 1 October 1940 in Paris (ex-Verbindungsstab des Ob.d.L. beim Chef der Militärverwaltung in Frankreich, which had come into existence only a few weeks earlier). In addition to having garrison authority over the large Luftwaffe establishment in and around Paris, also responsible for Luftwaffe liaison with the multitude of Wehrmacht and civilian headquarters and agencies located in the city and surrounding area. Evacuated Paris 22-25 August 1944 as Allied spearheads approached the city and withdrew to the Reich. Disbanded in Germany in September, although its FpN was not deleted until 6 Dec 44.[1]
