Formed about March 1941 (new) for the attack on the Soviet Union that commenced 22 June 1941.[1]

South Russia. (Jun 41 - Apr 42)

22.6.41: southeast Poland under Koluft Panzergruppe 1/Army Group South with 5.(H)/Aufkl.Gr. 21 and 1.(H)/Aufkl.Gr. 23 for the advance across the western areas of Ukraine toward Kiev.

23.7.41: Bücker Bü 131 liaison plane belonging to the Stab force landed near Skvira/28 km W of Belaya Tserkov due to engine trouble, 10%.

25.7.41: at Belaya Tserkov under Koluft Panzergruppe 1.

12.9.41: now at Krivoy Rog - relieved this date from assignment to Koluft Panzergruppe 1 and reassigned to the rear area command of Army Group South (rückw. Heeresgebiet Süd) with orders to support Hungarian and Italian forces.

10.41 – 4.42: location and activity unknown, but thought to have been withdrawn from operations in December 1941 or January 1942. Renamed Stab/Nahaufklärungsgruppe 13 on or about 19 April 1942.
