I./Seenotgruppe d.Lw.

Formation and History. (Jun 41 - Jun 42)

Formed 5 June 1941 at Cabourg near Caen in Normandy under Seenotdienstführer West as a small operations staff to direct all air-sea rescue missions undertaken by Seenotstaffeln 1, 2 and 3. Gruppenstab may have later moved to Paris-Sèvres. Disbanded c. 1 June 1942.[1]
