II./Seenotgruppe d.Lw.

Formation and History. (Jun 41 - Jun 42)

Formed 5 June 1941, probably at Wilhelmshaven, under Seenotdienstführer Mitte as a small operations staff to direct all air-sea rescue missions undertaken by Seenotstaffeln 4, 5 and 9. Also responsible for all preliminary training (Vorschulung) for all flying personnel selected for assignment to Seenotstaffeln. Disbanded c. 1 June 1942.[1]
