Formed 1 December 1943 at Deelen/Holland by renaming Jagdfliegerführer Holland-Ruhrgebiet and assigned to 3. Jagddivision. Jafü 3 was a component of 3. Jagddivision and not an independent command. Remained at Deelen, and in March 1944 it was either disbanded or so thoroughly incorporated into Stab/3. Jagddivision that it lost all pretense of having any sort of separate identity.[1]
