Küstenfliegergruppe 806

Although designated a Küstenfliegergruppe from its inception on 25 October 1939 until July 1940, the Gruppe more properly belongs with the independently numbered Kampfgruppe^[1]. Its equipment - the He 111 bomber - and its mission set it apart from the other Küstenfliegergruppen from the very beginning and, accordingly, it does not really belong in this classification.
