Kampfgruppe z.b.V. Posen

KGr.z.b.V. Posen was the tactical (operational) designation used by IV/KG.z.b.V 1 for the duration of the Demyansk airlift from Feb 42 to Apr 42. The name “Posen” is German for Poznań in western Poland. On completion of the main phase of the airlift in April, it reverted back to IV/KG.z.b.V 1. (see IV./KG z.b.V. 1).
