Formed March 1941 (ex-Stab/Koluft AOK 2).[1]


South Russia

21 Jun 41: Koluft AOK 17 subordinated this date: 3 Aufklärungsstaffeln (4.(H)/32, 8.(H)/32, 1.(H)/41), Kurierstaffel 6, 3 Flak-Abt. (Flakregimentsstab 42 with II./24, I./37, I./61) and Ln.-Abt. 4 (H) (mot.).

Jun 41 – Apr 42: supported 17th Army during the attack on the Soviet Union from 22 June via Galicia (SE Poland), Lvov, Zhitomir, Berdichev, Uman, Dnepropetrovsk, Poltava, the Donets Basin and the fighting around Rostov (11/41), followed by winter defensive positions in the Donets around Lozovaya and Pavlograd to the northeast of Dnepropetrovsk.

22 Jul 41: Koluft transferred from Zhitomir to Berdichev.

Apr 42: Koluft AOK 17 disbanded.
