Formed o/a 4 November 1939 and is believed to have been formed by re-designating Stab/Aufklärungsgruppe 13 (Göppingen).[1]


West

Nov 39 – May 40: defensive deployment along the German-Dutch border with 18th Army then, from 10 May 1940, attack through Holland, capture of Antwerpen, drive along the Belgian coast via Ghent to Dunkirk and then south toward Paris.

10 May 40: Koluft AOK 18 subordinated this date: 3 Aufklärungsstaffeln (7.(F)/LG 2, 4.(H)/21, 4.(H)/23), Kurierstaffel 8, 3 Flak-Abt. (I./49, II./241, le.92) and Ln.-Abt. 7 (H) (mot.).

c.2 Jul 40: Koluft AOK 18 renamed Koluft AOK 9.
