Formation. (Feb 44)

Formed 7 February 1944 at Athens-Kaphissia (Kifisia) through the consolidation of Luftgaustab Griechenland (a.k.a. Feldluftgaukdo. XXIX) in Athens and elements of Gen.Kdo. X. Fliegerkorps at Athens-Kaphissia, these mainly being rear echelon administrative sections. Had command responsibility for all Luftwaffe units and activities in Greece and reported to Luftwaffenkdo. Südost in Belgrade.[1]


Greece. (Feb 44 - Dec 44)

Feb – Oct 44: Stab remained in Athens.

2 Oct 44: ordered disbanded this date as the German withdrawal from Greece neared completion.

26 Nov 44: Stab at Kos.Mitrovica in western Serbia withdrawing north - strength reported as 42 officers and 334 men.

Dec 44: Stab now at Derventa/Croatia pending orders for onward movement. Further mention not found, but apparently disbanded.
