Formation. (Aug 39)

Ordered formed c. 26 August 1939 at Calw/37 km WSW of Stuttgart with 6 aircraft for assignment to AOK 7.[1]


West and Central Russia. (Sep 39 - Oct 43)

8 Jul 40: Fw 44 crash landed at Fp. Brussels-Evere, 60%.[2]

30 Aug 40: Belgium/N France area assigned to Koluft/AOK 9.[3]

4 Nov 40: Fi 156 collided with a hangar at Fp. Rouen-Boos, 45%.

10 Jun 41: moved from France to the Eastern Front for the invasion of Russia and now based at Dubovo/South in east-central Poland attached to AOK 9. [4]

22 Sep 41: still assigned to Koluft/AOK 9.[5]

2 Oct 41: Kl 35 crash landed at Fp. Smolensk, 35%.

30 Oct 41: Fi 156 C-1 (W.Nr.4271), Fl. Pl. Sychyovka/49 km S of Rzhev – crashlanding 40%.[6]

6 Nov 41: W34 (W.Nr. 0467) made emergency landing near Simanova (not located) due to enemy fire, 25% damage.[7]

24 Jan 42: still assigned to Koluft/AOK 9.[8]

16 Apr 42: Fi 156 crashed while taking off near Rzhev, 30%.

17 May 42: Fi 156 C-3 crash landed at Fp. Dunayevo/22 km SW of Kholm, 35%.

23 Nov 42: attached to AOK 9.[9]

3 Jun 43: Fi 156 destroyed in a mid-air collision over Fp. Orel-West, 100%, 2 killed.

23 Jun 43: Fi 156 crashed at Tereyevka (not located) due to pilot error, 60%, pilot killed.

19 Jul 43: Fi 156 shot up and force landed – no details, 25%.

3 Aug 43: Fi 156 crashed at Shablykino/60 km WSW of Orel due to engine failure, 100%.

5 Aug 43: Fi 156 crashed at Shmenevaya (not located) due to pilot error, 60%.

29 Aug 43: Fi 156 damaged taking off from a field at Poltino/36 km W of Rzhev, 20%.

1-15 Oct 43: Gomel area/C Russia - renamed 27./Fliegerverbindungsgeschwader 2.[10]
