Formation. (Jul 44)

Formed 1 July 1944 at Berlin – Bad Saarow (new) as the supreme headquarters for all replacement and training units of the Luftwaffe. Previously, these units had been the responsibility of Luftflottenkdo. Reich which, by spring 1944, had become so burdened with the daily defence of German air space - its primary mission - that it could no longer look after the training and replacement needs of the Luftwaffe.[1]

Germany. (Jul 44 - May 45)

Feb 45: Stab transferred from Berlin – Bad Saarow to Oschatz/54 km E of Leipzig as part of the general evacuation of ministries and commands out of the Berlin area.

6 Mar 45: ordered disbanded this date with all responsibilities to be taken over by the Befehlshaber der Ersatzluftwaffe.

Mar 45: the remnants of the Stab moved from Oschatz to Straubing/SE of Regensburg and then to Wasserburg/ESE of Munich where they were swallowed up in the chaos of the final two weeks of the war.
