Formation and History. (Oct 39 - Aug 41)
Formed o/a 28 October 1939, possibly in the Köln area (ex-Luftgaustab z.b.V. 8) after its predecessor had transferred there from Poland. Assigned to VIII. Fliegerkorps, and provided forward logistical support for the campaign in the West against France and the Low Countries that commenced on 10 May 1940.[1]
Germany and France
17 May 40: in support of VIII. Fliegerkorps.
17 Jun 40: Stab arrived and set up in Beaulieu/3 km W of Nogent.
16 Jul 40: France - subordinated Airfield Regional Commands (Kdo.Flughafenbereiche) 8/VII (Flers), 5/XIII (Lisieux) and z.b.V. 1201 (Vierville-sur-Mer near Cherbourg).
Aug 40: Stab in or near Lisieux/SE of Caen supporting VIII. Fliegerkorps.
27 Sep 40: under Luftgaukommando Belgien-Nordfrankreich for Operation “See1öwe” (Sealion), the planned invasion of England - its mission was to immediately establish a ground organization in England to support VIII. Fliegerkorps using 3 operational airfield commands (FHK E’s), transport columns and construction units (Bau-). The Stab was relieved on 24 November 1940 by Luftgaustab z.b.V. 300.
Nov 40 – Aug 41: the whereabouts of the Stab during this period is unknown. In all probability it was on standby status and had no mission.
29 Aug 41: disbanded.
