Luftwaffen-Baubrigade I

Formation and History

Formed March 1941 for the attack on the USSR as a headquarters and staff (Stab) to exercise command over attached Bau units. KStN: 451. Place of formation not found. Its attached Bau units were mainly engaged in repairing and refurbishing Soviet airfields for use by the Luftwaffe. [1]

15 Jul 41: Stab in Lvov (Lwow, Lemberg, Lviv)/SE Poland. [2]

8 Sep 41: as above for 15 Jul.

Nov 42: Brigade ordered disbanded.
