Luftwaffen-Baubrigade IV

Formation and History

Formed March 1941 for the attack on the USSR as a headquarters and staff (Stab) to exercise command over attached Bau units. KStN: 451. Place of formation not found. Its attached Bau units were mainly engaged in repairing and refurbishing Soviet airfields for use by the Luftwaffe. [1]

20 Jun 41: Stab in Warsaw. [2]

16 Sep 41: Stab at Brest Litovsk/East Poland. [3]

9 Apr 42: Stab and attached units operating in the Roslavl area in C Russia. [4]

Nov 42: Brigade ordered disbanded.
