History
Formed July 1940 to provide supervision over the dismantling of the French Air Force and its assets following the defeat of France in June 1940. Also coordinated German interests in the French aviation industry and the new Vichy Air Force. Stab always at Bourges. On 10 Oct 40 a Ju 52 belonging to the Kontrollinspektion was reported missing and later determined to have crashed. An Oberst van Vleten and 6 others were killed and a Maj. Hans Augustiny (Augustini?) was missing.[1]
