Formation and History. (Apr 45 - May 45)

Formed 12 April 1945, probably at Biesenthal/35 km NNE of Berlin, following the Russian breakthrough on the Oder Front (ex-Stab/II. Fliegerkorps). It was directly under OKL and responsible for providing air support to Heeresgruppe Weichsel in western Pomerania and Mecklenburg. Withdrew west at the end of April and beginning of May, eventually surrendering to the Allies on 8 May 1945.
