Formed c. 17 Dec 43 with personnel and assets from Lw.-Bau-Btl. 6/VII and after being reorganized with prisoners of war (POWs), probably at Kalinovka and other locations in Western Ukraine. Had a Stab (Battalion HQ and staff) four Kompanien (1., 2., 3., 4.) and a Geräte-Kolonne. [1]

Aug 43: Lw.-Bau-Btl. 6/VII being reorganized with prisoners of war (POWs), probably at Kalinovka and other locations in Western Ukraine. In effect, 106/VII (K) was a spin-off of 6/VII because both continued in service to the end of the war. [2]
Feb 44: Btl. now at Uman in W Ukraine. [3]
Apr 45: Btl. in Aussig/Sudetenland (Ústí nad Labem)/65 km N of Prague in Czechoslovakia under Luftflotte Reich. [4]
FpNs: Stab (L 55925), 1.Kp. (L 08763), 2.Kp. (L 09106, L 03008), 3.Kp. (L 09190, L 02059), 4.Kp. (L 55379, 03804), Geräte-Kolonne (L 31219).
