Lw.-Bau-Btl. 31/XI Formed mid-1942 with Feldpost numbers issued between March 1942 and September 1942. Had a Stab (Battalion HQ and three Kompanien (1., 2., 3.). A Geräte-Kolonne (equipment column) was added between Feb and Aug 1943. [1]

History

11 Sep 42: 3.Kp. transferred from Posen (Poznan)/NW Poland to East Prussia. [2]

1943: Btl. located at Kraljevo/Serbia. [3]

Jul 44: Salzburg-Liefering within 3 to 5 km of Salzburg-Maxglan airfield and Ainring factory airfield doing ungrade construction on both. [4]

1945: still in north-central Austria and/or S Germany. [5]

27 Feb 45: Geräte-Kolonne disbanded. [6]

8 May 45: the remainder of the Btl. surrendered at the end of the war.

FpNs: Stab (L 45871), 1.Kp. (L 46197), 2.Kp. (L 46214), 3.Kp. (L 46324), Geräte-Kolonne (L 20357).
