Lw.-Bau-Btl. XII/VIII

Ordered formed between August 1939 and the end of December 1939. Feldpost numbers were never issued to it and it remained a unit on paper only until it was deleted between January and April 1940. Plans called for it to have a Stab (Battalion HQ and staff) and three Kompanien (1., 2., 3.). [1]

History

1941: British intelligence states Lw.-Bau-Btl. 12/VIII was in Norway. This is believed to be a case of mistaken identity.

Kommandeur: (none appointed).
