Formed c. 10 February 1940 as a headquarters and Stab (staff) to command attached Luftwaffe Bau (construction) units using personnel and other assets taken from Luftwaffen-Bauregiment Kastellaun. Place of formation almost certainly Kastellaun/48 km SSW of Koblenz in Luftgau XII. [1]
Aug 40: Stab in Northwest France. [2]
Jan 41 – Dec 41: Stab in Northwest France. [3]
4 Feb 42: Stab in Caen/Normandy. Ordered this date to turn over all of its attached units and affairs to Luftwaffen-Bauregiment 2/VII and depart France for Germany. [4]
Feb 42 – Feb 43: Rgt. Stationed in or around Berlin. [5]
1943: disbanded spring or early summer 1943. [6]
