Luftwaffen-Bauregiment 2/XI

Formation and History

Formed c. February-March 1940 as a headquarters and Stab (staff) to command attached Luftwaffe Bau (construction) units. Place of formation not found, but almost certainly in Luftgau XI (comprising most of the territory of northwest and north-central Germany, including the Provinces of Hannover, Oldenburg, Braunschweig, Schleswig-Holstein and Mecklenburg). [1].

Mid-1940: received a Feldpost number in preparation for service outside of Germany.[2]

27 Nov 41: Stab located in Pskov on the Leningrad Front in North Russia under Luftwaffen-Baubrigade III.[3]

Feb-Jul 43: disbanded.[4]
