Formation and History
Formed c. 6 February 1940 as a headquarters and Stab (staff) to command attached Luftwaffe Bau (construction) units. Place of formation not found, but almost certainly in Luftgau VII (South-Central Germany, i.e., Bavaria). The Stab was disbanded c. 22 March 1940, but re-established with a different Feldpost number on or about 1 April 1940.
Jun 41: Stab at Siedlce/East Poland overseeing the construction of airfields for the invasion of the Soviet Union.[1]
30 Dec 41: Stab now in Yukhnov/Russia after advancing across Belorussia (Belarus). The Stab reported a personnel strength on this date of 2 officers and 9 men. [2]
3 Mar 42: Stab transferred to Dugino/65 km S Rzhev. [3]
19 Jul 42: Stab transferred to Vyazma/150 km ENE of Smolensk.[4]
19 Feb 43: Stab transferred to Minsk.[5]
Apr 43 – May 43: ordered disbanded. [6]
