Luftwaffen-Bauregiment 4/XIII

Formation and History

Formed c. 1 August 1940 as a headquarters and Stab (staff) to command attached Luftwaffe Bau (construction) units. Place of formation not found, but almost certainly in Luftgau XIII (Central Germany centred on Nürnberg). [1]

Jun 41: Stab at Siedlce/East Poland building, improving and repairing airfields in preparation for the German attack on Russia.[2]

Sep 41: Stab now at Bialystok/NE Poland with the same mission. [3]

1942: believed to have remained in Russia.

1 Jan 43: disbanded approximately this date. [4]

FpN: L 14182.
