Formation and History

Formed c. 1 May 1940 as a headquarters and Stab (staff) to command attached Luftwaffe Bau (construction) units. Place of formation not found, but almost certainly in Luftgau XIII (Central Germany centred on Nürnberg). (Tessin-Luftwaffe; Kannapin – FpÜ).

1940-?: although 3 officers were appointed one after the other to command this Regiment, none for longer than a month, no Feldpost number was ever issued for it and there is no mention of it in the documentation and literature examined. It apparently never developed past the planning stage.
