Luftwaffen-Bauregiment 6/XII

Formation and History

Formed c. 10 February 1940 as a headquarters and Stab (staff) to command attached Luftwaffe Bau (construction) units using personnel and other assets taken from Luftwaffen-Bauregiment Fritzlar. Place of formation almost certainly in Fritzlar/25 kmSW of Kassel in Luftgau XII. [1]

19 Jun 40: Stab in Charleville-Mézières/NE France. [2]

Jan 41: Stab in Northwestern France, possibly at Évreux. [3]

1941-42: Stab transferred from France to the Eastern Front.

Nov 42: Stab in Kursk with 3 officers and 12 men on strength and subordinate to Luftgaukommando Charkow (Kharkov). [4]

14 Sep 43: disbanded. [5]
