Formation and History
Formed c. mid-1940 as a headquarters and Stab (staff) to command attached Luftwaffe Bau (construction) units. Place of formation not found in the primary documents examined, but almost certainly it was in Luftgau XII. [1]
Mar 41: Stab in Western France. [2]
Jun 42: Stab transferred from Western France to Kharkov and Poltava and then moved forward during the advance toward Stalingrad and the Volga River. [3]
Dec 42: Stab in Rossosh/270 km E of Kharkov under Luftwaffen-Baubrigade VI. [4]
10 Apr 43: disbanded following heavy German losses in and around Stalingrad. [5]
