Seenotbereichskommando IV

Formation and History. (Jun 42 - Aug 44)

Formed 1 June 1942 at Utrecht/Holland by renaming Seenotzentrale (L) Holland. Subordinated to Seenotdienstführer West (later Seenotdienstführer 3). Exercised tactical control over sea rescue assets deployed along the Channel coast from approximately the French-Belgian border northeast to the West Frisian Islands. Moved from Utrecht to Amsterdam-Schellingwoude, probably in 1943. Disbanded 19 August 1944 at Amsterdam-Schellingwoude.[1]
