Formation and History. (Jan 42 - Jun 42)

Formed January 1942 at Wilhelmshaven-Sengwarden by renaming Seenotgruppe (L) Norderney. Responsible for all sea rescue operations in the North Sea and Baltic. Location remained unchanged until it was renamed Seenotdienstführer 1 on 1 June 1942.[1]
