Seenotflottille 10

Formation and History. (Jun 42 - Aug 44)

Formed o/a 1 June 1942 at Siracusa/E Sicily and subordinated to Seenotbereichskommando X. In May 1943, it was located at both Siracuse and Marsala/Sicily. Transferred to La Spezia/NW Italy in July 1943 following the Allied invasion of Sicily. In January 1944, it had components at La Spezia, Orbetello/140 km NW of Rome and possibly at Venice. Ordered renamed Seenotflottille 20 at Verona/NE Italy on 19 August 1944.[1]
