Seenotflottille 80

Formation and History. (Aug 44 - May 45)

Ordered formed 19 August 1944 at Wilhelmshaven by renaming Seenotflottille 5. Belonged to Seenotgruppe 80. Identified at Norderney in the West Frisian Islands in November 1944, but this may have only been a Kdo. (detachment) belonging to it. Surrendered at Großenbrode on 8 May 1945.[1]
