Seenotgruppe 20

Formation and History. (Aug 44 - Apr 45)

Ordered formed 19 August 1944 at Malcesine on Lake Garda in North Italy using the assets formerly assigned to the disbanded Seenotbereichskdo. X. Had a small Stab and the assigned Seenotstaffel 20 and Seenotflottille 20. Subordinated to Luftflotte 2 and then from 15 September Komm.Gen.d.Dt.Lw. in Italien. Surrendered 29 April 1945 as a result of the negotiated capitulation of all German forces in Italy.[1]
