Seenotgruppe 80

Formation and History. (Aug 44 - May 45)

Ordered formed (new) 19 August 1944 at Jever with a Stab, Seenotstaffel 80 and Seenotflottille 80. Subordinated to Luftflotte Reich. Responsible for sea rescue operations in the North Sea area off the northwest German coast. Subsequently moved to Großenbrode and surrendered there 6-8 May 1945.[1]
